We are presently looking for talented, multilingual individuals to join our team of problem-solvers that welcome challenges, and work well both as individuals and as part of team. Our current opening for an Industrial Engineer in distribution management demands a leader who can take multi-tasking to the next level, and effectively coordinate the efforts of various managers and teams that are both locally and remotely. This position will also work with internal groups to forecast needs for space and utilities. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for determining the best layout for equipment to ensure efficient production in our warehouses.

Responsibilities
Recommending plant layout and design
Calculating project justification (return on investment)
Maximizing plant / line capacities
Improving facility ergonomics
Working with process simulation software
Studying labor costs and standards
Implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Developing an understanding of the equipment and manufacturing processes
Offering sound technical and engineering advice for facilities performance
Selecting vendors for new equipment purchases
Developing creative ideas to cut costs
Communicating department projects with plant management
Determine the best layout for equipment.
Determine the appropriate storage facilities for raw materials; work in process, and finished goods inventory.
Determine appropriate preventive maintenance systems and procedures.
Provide for appropriate inspection and test facilities.
Provide adequate utilities for the operations.
Experience & Knowledge
Preferred candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, MS Project and AutoCAD.
Working experience in the commercial construction field, with emphasis on industrial facilities.
CAD design layouts

Work measurements and process flow
Economic Value Added (EVA)
Ergonomics
Total Quality Control (TQC)
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
Time studies
Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Skills
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Employee development and performance management skills.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment within a complex partnership/organizational structure.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Excellent skills in communication, delegation, problem solving, multi-tasking and team building.
Proven experience with organizational development, product strategy, process reengineering, cost analysis
Experience in an e-commerce company a plus
